Scoutmaster's Message:

Welcome to internet home of Troop 101, a troop dedicated to providing an environment where all of our scouts can achieve the three aims of scouting of character development, citizenship training, and physical fitness. We accomplish this through the eight proven methods of scouting as these have been proven to consistently yield these desired results. While our goals and methods are the same as you should find with all Boy Scout troops, we are of course unique and strive to provide a diverse program that both challenges and satisfies each of our scouts. As a modest size Troop averaging 30-40 scouts, we run into fewer limitations when planning locations and activities for our outdoor program. These activities have included a wide ranging boy chosen program of backpacking, cycling, caving, canoeing, horseback riding, skiing, golfing, fishing, rifle shooting, auto mechanics, etc. You can get a taste of some of these by browsing this site and if you are interested in learning more, I invite you to come visit us and experience it for yourself. As you’ll see in that first meeting when we end with our traditional closing friendship circle, we always leave room in the circle for one more.

Yours in scouting,
Mr. Evans
