Annual Flower Sale

Help support Troop 101 and get great additions for your garden at the same time!

Parent and Scouts,

Spring has sprung!  It's time for the Troop 101 Annual Mother's Day Flower Sale! This is one of our main fundraising efforts for the Troop and your Scout's account.

Attached are copies of our informational letter, order form in a PDF version or Excel version, sales flyer, and master scout order form (Excel file with macros).

In addition to the attached documents, we want to highlight a few key items for you:
  • Profits: Your Scout splits profits from the flower sales with the troop 50/50.  Scout profits earned go into your Scout's account. This is a great way to pay for outings, camping gear, summer camp or save up for HIGH ADVENTURE. Our goal this year is to have flower profits deposited into your Scout's account prior to the final summer camp payment date.
  • Flyer/Catalogs:  We have a condensed catalog/flyer and order form that your Scout can use to drop off in the neighborhood to aid in selling. This is a great way to help your Scout explain what he is selling, why he's selling, how to order, and information on the flowers. Your Scout could also draft his own letter and print out the full catalog (available for download from our website) to show his customers and/or direct them to the website!
  • Master Scout Order Form: All Scouts will need to fill out the order form attached in Excel format. This will create a master tally for you.  Once the master tally form is complete, this file is to be emailed to Santhi Peeler at santhi.peeler@gmail.com. MAKE SURE TO READ THE INSTRUCTIONS TAB!  It is very important that additional customer sheets are added between Customer 1 and Customer 2 in order to assure proper calculation of your orders.  A Google Sheets version can be downloaded from the website.
  • April 12th: Date for final orders/money to be turned in. Electronic payments through Zelle or Quickpay can be accepted at Treasurer@3firestroop101.org.  There will be a notification that the money is going to Community Christian Church which is our troop's sponsor.  Checks should be made out to BSA Troop 101.  Cash money must be delivered to Mrs. Cross via a pre-arranged time and place. The money should be placed in an envelope with the Scout's name on it. All payments should match the dollar amount on your Excel master tally spreadsheet.
  • Sat. May 8th, 6:30 AM: DELIVERY DAY!  All scouts who sold product are expected to work this day along with at least one parent. (2 would be great if you can swing it!) VOLUNTEERS WILL BE NEEDED!! We'd like a few volunteers ahead of time to form a small subcommittee to help us make the day of the sale run even smoother. Please email Peg Cross at mmcross313@comcast.net if you are interested in assisting us.  All flowers will need to be picked up on this date!  We do not have storage for unclaimed flowers.
Should you have ANY questions at all, please feel free to contact any of us on the Flower Committee. Our contact info is on the bottom of the informational letter. Thank you and good luck!

Boys, get out there and sell some flowers!
